Universal Pictures will present a special singalong version of the film of the hit Broadway musical Mamma Mia! starting on Friday, August 29. Additional details will be released shortly.

The film, which uses the hit music of the Swedish supergroup ABBA, is directed by Phyllida Lloyd, who also helmed the stage version, and stars Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgård, Christine Baranski, Julie Walters, Amanda Seyfried, and Dominic Cooper.

The plot concerns a young girl on a Greek island who's about to get married, and invites the three men she thinks might be her father, much to her mother's horror.

LOOKING FORWARD TO THE SING ALONG. I DOWNLOADED MAMA MIA SONGS FROM ITUNES AND LISTEN TO THEM ALL THE TIME. SAW THE MOVIE 2 TIMES...CANT GET IT OUT OF MY MIND. THANK YOU FOR MAKING MAMA MIA...WE NEED MORE MUSICAL MOVIES. I AM 73 YEARS OLD AND WHEN I WAS A LITTLE GIRL, I SAW EVERY MUSICAL THAT WAS PUT OUT...FRED, GINGER, CYD, TONY, ALL OF THEM. PEOPLE NEED MORE MUSIC IN THEIR LIVES.
