Raven Theatre Company has announced production information for its 2008-2009 season, which will open with Stephen Adly Guirgis' Jesus Hopped the 'A' Train, October 7-December 6. The play centers on Angel Cruz, a young Latino man in jail for shooting a religious cult leader. Also in prison is an infamous, born-again serial killer who raises the question: Is faith enough to save those who have not practiced what they believe? Michael Menendian will direct.

The new year will see the world premiere of Misamerica, January 27-March 28, Tom Patrick's new play about an entrepreneurial American corporation ready to tackle the next big market somewhere in the Mid-east. Directed by Greg Kolack, this darkly humorous tale aims to examine our country's policies and priorities. The season will close with Henrik Ibsen's tried and true masterpiece about a woman's inevitable road to tragedy, Hedda Gabler, April 26-June 17, with Menendian at the helm. This production will use an adaptation of the classic work by Jon Robin Baitz.
