Synopsis:
Comedy Central's Lauren Weedman takes her hilarious one-woman show on the road. At times satirical, poignant, and bitingly funny, Bust is a semi-autobiographical work set around her experiences volunteering in a Southern California women's prison. Drawing on the witty, double-entendre title Bust, Weedman contrasts her intense encounters with women behind bars, with the shallow, over inflated Hollywood airheads of her showbiz world. From jail tales of hard-knocks women, to narcissistic Hollywood gym buddies, Weedman embodies a cast of over 50 unforgettable characters, taking the audience on an emotional roller-coaster that flows from hysterical to harrowing with ease and humor. Reflective, compassionate and scathingly funny, it's an absorbing tour-de-force.
