610 F St. NW
Washington, D.C. 20004

The Harman Center for the Arts is a 21st-century performing arts center and expanded stage for the Shakespeare Theatre Company and Washington's performing arts community.

Opening in 2007, the Harman Center consists of the new 775-seat Sidney Harman Hall (Sixth and F Streets NW) and the existing 451-seat Lansburgh Theatre (Seventh and E Streets NW). These two superb mid-sized theatres serve to transform the Shakespeare Theatre Company into a national destination theatre and provide ideal venues for many of Washington's distinguished performing arts companies. Located in the burgeoning Penn Quarter arts and entertainment district, the Harman Center will be a powerful magnet for tourism and an economic engine for the city of Washington.
